Connect your Capsule account: people you tag, or whose opportunity reaches a milestone you pick, are
called by SolarDialer's AI agent within minutes, interested leads are transferred live to your closer, and
every call goes on the person's history with its summary, transcript and recording.
You need a SolarDialer account, and a Capsule user in the account you connect (an Administrator, to
choose who is called).
Call by tag or milestone
Choose a tag, an opportunity milestone or "any new person", and a campaign: each person given the tag, or whose
opportunity reaches the milestone, joins the campaign at once, called on its schedule, always within the
lead's legal calling hours.
Every call on the history
Each call is added to the person's history as a call, with the AI summary, the answers, the transcript and a
link to the recording.
Interested leads move on
Pick a milestone and each interested lead gets an opportunity there, moved to your transfer milestone
when they are put through to your closer. Callbacks become tasks, due when the lead asked.
Tags and fields for your filters
The tags SD Interested, SD Transferred, SD Callback and SD Do Not Call, and the
fields SD Outcome, SD Last Call, SD Recording and SD Callback, are set on the person,
so your filters, lists and tracks can act on them. Capsule's Free plan allows only a few tags and custom
fields: when it is full, the calls still go on each person's history, and the tags and fields are added
once there is room (we check again each day).
Set up in 3 steps
ConnectSign in to SolarDialer, open Account → Integrations and click Connect
Capsule. Sign in to Capsule and allow access.
Choose who is calledOn the same page, add a rule: a tag, an opportunity milestone (or any new
person) and the campaign those people join. Add as many rules as you like. Capsule tells SolarDialer the
moment a person matches.
Choose where interested leads goPick the milestone for interested leads'
opportunities, and optionally one for transferred ones. Leave it empty for no opportunity.
What SolarDialer reads and writes in Capsule
Capsule data
What SolarDialer does with it
People and organisations
Reads the person a rule picks (name, phone, email and address) to call
them. Finds (by phone or email) or creates the person for a call that reached someone, and sets the
SolarDialer fields and tags on them.
Opportunities, pipelines and milestones
Reads them for the pickers on your Integrations page and
to find the person on an opportunity a rule picks. Creates an opportunity for an interested lead, or
moves theirs, if you picked a milestone.
Tags and custom fields
Reads your tags for the picker; creates the four SolarDialer tags and four
fields once.
History and tasks
Adds a call entry to the person's history for each call, and a task for each
callback booked.
REST hooks
While you have rules, subscribes to new and changed people (and new and moved
opportunities, for milestone rules) so they are called at once; removes them when you remove the rules or
disconnect.
People are called only within each state's calling hours, never when they are on your
do-not-call list or asked not to be called, and at most the attempts your campaign allows. Your Capsule data is
used only to place and report your calls; see our privacy policy and
terms.
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect Capsule on Account → Integrations: SolarDialer's access is revoked and
its notifications removed at once (you can also remove SolarDialer from your authorized applications in Capsule).
The leads and calls already in SolarDialer stay in your account until you delete them, and nothing is removed
from Capsule. To have your SolarDialer data deleted, email
info@solardialer.net.
Full setup guide
Everything you need to set it up and keep it running. Stuck? Email info@solardialer.net.
A Capsule CRM account and a user in it. You sign in to Capsule and allow SolarDialer; no API key is needed.
To add rules (choose who is called), connect as a Capsule Administrator: Capsule lets only an Administrator add the notifications rules need. Any user can connect to receive call results.
A SolarDialer account with at least one campaign that isn't finished. Leads are called once your account is approved and the campaign is running.
On Capsule's Free plan, room for four tags and four custom fields if you want them: when the plan is full, calls still go on each person's history.
Step by step
ConnectSign in on solardialer.net and open Account, then Integrations. Under Connect, click Connect Capsule, sign in to Capsule and allow access. You come back to Integrations with "Capsule connected" and your account's name, and it appears under Your CRM with a Connected badge.
Add a rule: who is calledUnder Your CRM, in People to call, choose in Who is called: Any new person, a tag (Tagged ...), or a milestone (Opportunity reaches Pipeline: Milestone). Pick the Campaign and click Add rule. Add as many rules as you like.
Choose where interested leads go (optional)In Interested leads go to (an opportunity at this milestone), pick a milestone. Optionally pick another milestone of the same pipeline in Transferred leads go to, for leads put through to your closer. Click Save. Leave No pipeline for no opportunity.
Test itTag a test person in Capsule that has your own phone number, or move an opportunity to your rule's milestone. Capsule tells SolarDialer at once, and within a minute or so they are a lead in your campaign. After the call, their history shows the call.
Settings, explained
Who is called: Tagged ...
People given the tag, or made with it, after the rule was added join the campaign.
Who is called: Opportunity reaches Pipeline: Milestone
When an opportunity is made at that milestone or moved to it, its main contact joins the campaign. Only open milestones are listed (not Won or Lost), from your first 10 pipelines.
Who is called: Any new person
Everyone added to Capsule after the rule was added joins the campaign.
Campaign
The SolarDialer campaign the rule's people join. Only campaigns that aren't finished are listed. They are called on the campaign's schedule, within each lead's legal calling hours.
Rules
Up to 20, one per tag or milestone. Each person joins a campaign once: one already called through SolarDialer, or made by SolarDialer, is never added again. Removing rules removes the notifications they no longer need.
Interested leads go to (an opportunity at this milestone)
An interested lead (one who said yes to your closer, whether or not the transfer connected, or who booked a callback with the closer instead) gets an opportunity at this milestone, owned by the user who connected, unless they already have an open one in that pipeline.
Transferred leads go to (optional, same pipeline)
When the transfer to your closer connects, the lead's open opportunity in that pipeline moves to this milestone, or is made there. The same stage uses the one above.
What it reads and writes
Read: people
For a person a rule picks: name, first phone number, first email address and first address (street, city, state, ZIP and country).
Read: settings
Your tags, pipelines and milestones for the pickers, your custom fields, and the connecting user and their time zone.
REST hooks
While you have rules, SolarDialer subscribes to new and changed people (and new and moved opportunities, for milestone rules), so matches arrive at once. It checks them every hour and subscribes again if Capsule dropped one. They are removed when you remove the rules or disconnect.
Written: the history
Each call adds an entry of the type Call to the person's history, dated when the call started, with the outcome, summary, answers, transcript, a link to the recording and a link to the call in SolarDialer. Where your account has no Call type, it is a Note.
Written: four fields
SD Outcome, SD Last Call (date and time in UTC), SD Recording (a link) and SD Callback (when), made as text fields the first time, or reused if fields with those names exist.
Written: four tags
SD Interested, SD Transferred (when a transfer connected), SD Callback and SD Do Not Call (when someone asks not to be called).
Written: opportunities and tasks
For interested leads, when you picked a milestone: an opportunity named after the lead. A callback adds a task "Callback (SolarDialer)" for the user who connected, due when the lead asked, in that user's time zone, saying who calls back.
Written: people
A person is found by phone, then by email, or made, only for a call that reached someone, an interested lead or a callback. A call nobody answered only updates a person who already exists.
Troubleshooting
"Capsule lets only an Administrator add the notifications SolarDialer needs for rules."
The user who connected isn't a Capsule Administrator, so the rule wasn't kept. Disconnect, then connect again signed in to Capsule as an Administrator.
"Your rules aren't active: ..." after connecting
Your rules are kept, but Capsule refused their notifications. Follow the reason shown; usually connect again as an Administrator.
"Capsule didn't accept our notifications (...). Try again in a minute."
Capsule refused for now and the rule wasn't kept. Add it again in a minute.
You left Capsule's page without allowing access. Click Connect Capsule again and allow it.
"That Capsule link has expired. Connect again from here."
Start again: click Connect Capsule on Account, Integrations.
"Log in to the account that started connecting Capsule."
You came back signed in to a different SolarDialer account, or signed out. Log in to the account you started from and connect again.
"Capsule couldn't be connected: that Capsule account is connected to another SolarDialer account"
A Capsule account can be linked to one SolarDialer account at a time. Disconnect it there first.
The connection shows Disconnected: "SolarDialer's access was removed in Capsule. Connect again."
SolarDialer was removed from your authorized applications in Capsule. Connect again; your rules are kept.
A tagged person wasn't called
Check that the tag was added after the rule, that the person has a phone number, that they weren't already called through SolarDialer, and that their phone isn't already a lead in your account (a number belongs to one lead). Then check that the campaign is running.
"Your Capsule tags and pipelines couldn't be read just now; reload to add a rule."
Capsule didn't answer in time. Reload the page.
"That wasn't found in Capsule. Reload and pick again."
The tag or milestone was renamed or deleted after the page loaded. Reload and pick again.
A pipeline or tag is missing from the picker
SolarDialer lists your first 10 pipelines (open milestones only) and your first 500 tags.
The SD tags or fields don't appear
Capsule's Free plan allows only a few tags and custom fields, or the user may not make them. Calls still go on each person's history; SolarDialer tries again once a day, and adds them once there is room.
"Last problem sending results" with "(trying again shortly)"
Capsule was busy, didn't answer, or didn't renew SolarDialer's access in time. SolarDialer waits and tries again, longer each time; nothing is lost.
FAQ
How fast is a matched person called?
Capsule tells SolarDialer the moment a person is tagged or an opportunity reaches the milestone, and they join the campaign within about a minute. The campaign calls them on its schedule, within the lead's calling hours.
Are organisations called too?
With Any new person, a new organisation with a phone number joins too, under its name. Tag and milestone rules work on whatever party has the tag or is the opportunity's main contact.
Do I get results for calls made before I connected?
No. A new connection gets the results of calls from then on.
What if I delete a person in Capsule?
The next result for that lead finds the person again by phone or email, or makes a new one.
Does removing the tag stop calls?
No. A person who joined a campaign stays a lead there. Removing a rule only stops new people joining.
Will people be called outside calling hours or after asking not to be called?
No. People are called only within their state's calling hours, never when they are on your do-not-call list or asked not to be called, and at most the attempts your campaign allows. A do-not-call request adds the tag SD Do Not Call.
What does it cost?
The connection is free. Calls are billed by the minute from your SolarDialer balance, with $2 of free calls every month.
Disconnect
Click Disconnect Capsule under Your CRM on Account, Integrations. SolarDialer's access is revoked, its notifications are removed, and results stop going to Capsule.
Revoking also removes SolarDialer from your authorized applications in Capsule; you can check there.
Your leads and calls stay in SolarDialer, and nothing is removed from Capsule. To have your SolarDialer data deleted, email info@solardialer.net.
Pay only when we're talking to someone
22¢ a minute while on a call, or 14¢ with your own phone line. Calls nobody answers
are free, and the first $2 of calls every month are on us. The Capsule connection itself costs nothing.
