Connect your Pipedrive company: the people and leads you label are called by SolarDialer's AI agent,
interested ones are transferred live to your closer, and every call lands in Pipedrive with its summary,
transcript and recording.
You need a SolarDialer account, and a Pipedrive user who can install apps.
Call people and leads by label
Choose a label (or "any new one") and a campaign: each person or lead given that label, or made with it,
joins the campaign, called on its schedule, always within the lead's legal calling hours.
Every call in Pipedrive
Each call is logged on the person (and their lead) with its outcome and length, and the AI summary, answers,
transcript and a link to the recording as its note.
Interested leads become deals
Pick a pipeline stage and each interested lead gets a deal there, moved to your transfer stage when they
are put through to your closer. Callbacks become call activities, due when the lead asked.
Fields for your automations
SD Outcome, SD Last Call, SD Recording, SD Interested, SD Callback and
SD Do Not Call are set on the person, so your own filters and automations can act on them.
Set up in 3 steps
ConnectSign in to SolarDialer, open Account → Integrations and click Connect
Pipedrive (or install SolarDialer from the Pipedrive Marketplace). Approve the access asked.
Choose who is calledOn the same page, add a rule: people or leads, a label (or any new one),
and the campaign they join. Add as many rules as you like.
Choose where interested leads goPick the pipeline stage for interested leads' deals, and
optionally one for transferred ones. Leave it empty for no deals.
What SolarDialer reads and writes in Pipedrive
Pipedrive data
What SolarDialer does with it
People
Reads the name, phone and email of a person a rule sends to SolarDialer, to call them.
Finds (by phone or email) or creates the person for a lead whose call reached someone, and sets the
SolarDialer fields on them.
Leads
Reads a lead a rule sends, and its person; links each call to the lead.
Person fields
Creates the six SolarDialer fields once, and reads your person labels for the
rule picker.
Call logs and activities
Logs each call, and a call activity for each callback booked.
Deals
Reads your pipelines and stages for the stage picker; creates or moves a deal for an
interested lead, only if you picked a stage.
Webhooks
Creates the webhooks your rules need (new and changed people or leads), and deletes them
when you remove the rules or disconnect.
People are called only within each state's calling hours, never when they are on your
do-not-call list or asked not to be called, and at most the attempts your campaign allows. Your Pipedrive data is
used only to place and report your calls; see our privacy policy and
terms.
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect Pipedrive on Account → Integrations, or uninstall SolarDialer in
Pipedrive (Tools and apps → Marketplace apps). Results stop going to Pipedrive at once; the leads and calls
already in SolarDialer stay in your account until you delete them, and nothing is removed from Pipedrive. To have
your SolarDialer data deleted, email info@solardialer.net.
Full setup guide
Everything you need to set it up and keep it running. Stuck? Email info@solardialer.net.
A SolarDialer account with at least one campaign that isn't finished. Leads are called once your account is approved and the campaign is running (new campaigns start Paused).
A Pipedrive user who can install apps.
People with a name and a phone number. SolarDialer reads a person's name, phone and email only, so a US person's calling hours come from their phone's area code.
Labels on your people or leads, if you want to choose who is called by label.
Step by step
Connect PipedriveLog in to SolarDialer and open Account → Integrations. Under Connect, click Connect Pipedrive and approve the access asked. You come back with "Pipedrive connected (your company). Call results now go to your Pipedrive people."
Add a ruleUnder Your CRM, in People and leads to call, pick Who (People or Leads), With the label (a label, or Any new one) and the Campaign they join. Click Add rule.
Add more rules if you likeUp to 20 rules, one per label. Each rule shows as "People labeled ... → campaign" with a Remove button.
Choose where interested leads go (optional)Pick a deal stage in Interested leads go to (a deal at this stage), and optionally one in Transferred leads go to (optional, same pipeline). Click Save. Leave it on No pipeline for no deals.
Test itIn Pipedrive, add a person with your own phone number and the rule's label (or give the label to a person). Within a minute or two it appears in SolarDialer under Leads, in the rule's campaign. After the call, open the person in Pipedrive: the call is logged and the SD fields are filled in.
Settings, explained
Who: People or Leads
Whether the rule watches Pipedrive people or Pipedrive leads. A Pipedrive lead is called through its person; a lead for an organization with no person is skipped.
With the label
A person or lead joins the campaign when it is made with this label, or the label is added to it later. Records that already had the label when you added the rule aren't added until the label is given again.
With the label: Any new one
Every new person (or lead) joins the campaign. Records changed later don't.
Campaign
The SolarDialer campaign the matching records join, called on its schedule within each lead's legal calling hours.
Interested leads go to (a deal at this stage)
Each interested lead's person gets a deal in this pipeline at this stage, named after them, unless they already have an open deal in it. No pipeline means no deals.
Transferred leads go to (optional, same pipeline)
When the transfer to your closer connects, the deal goes to this stage instead (an open deal is moved there).
What it reads and writes
Read from Pipedrive
The name, primary phone and primary email of a person a rule picks (for a Pipedrive lead, its person's); your person and lead labels, pipelines and stages for the pickers.
Call logs
Each call is logged on the person, and on their Pipedrive lead if the record came from one: subject ("SolarDialer call: Talked", for example), outcome (connected, no answer, busy or wrong number), start, end, length, and as its note the AI summary, answers, objections, transcript and links to the recording and the call in SolarDialer. The calls belong to the user who connected Pipedrive.
Person fields
Six text fields, made once: SD Outcome, SD Last Call (date and time in UTC), SD Recording (a link that plays without a login), SD Interested (Yes), SD Callback (when the lead asked to be called) and SD Do Not Call (Yes).
Activities
Each callback booked becomes a call activity, Callback (SolarDialer), due at the time the lead asked, saying who calls back: SolarDialer's agent or the advisor.
Deals
A deal is made or moved for an interested lead, only if you picked a stage.
Webhooks
For each kind of record your rules watch, SolarDialer adds two webhooks in Pipedrive (record made, record changed), and deletes them when you remove the rules or disconnect.
Which calls reach Pipedrive
Every call your SolarDialer account makes from the moment you connect, not only records from Pipedrive; earlier calls are never sent. A person is found (by phone, then email) or made only for a call that reached someone, an interested lead or a callback. Unanswered calls and do-not-call requests only update a person SolarDialer already linked.
Troubleshooting
"Pipedrive wasn't connected: the install was cancelled."
Access was refused or the page closed. Click Connect Pipedrive again and approve.
"That Pipedrive link has expired. Connect again from here."
More than 15 minutes passed on Pipedrive's page. Click Connect Pipedrive again.
"Log in to the account that started connecting Pipedrive."
You came back from Pipedrive logged in to another SolarDialer account, or logged out. Log in to the account you started from and connect again.
"...connected to another SolarDialer account"
A Pipedrive company can be linked to one SolarDialer account only. Disconnect it there first.
Account → Integrations asks "Link Pipedrive?"
The install was started from Pipedrive's side. Click Link Pipedrive if you installed it yourself, or Not mine. "That install can't be linked any more. Install it again." means more than an hour passed: connect from Account → Integrations instead.
"Your Pipedrive labels couldn't be read just now; reload to add a rule."
Pipedrive didn't answer in time. Reload the page.
"Pipedrive didn't accept our webhook. Try again in a minute."
The rule is saved but its webhook wasn't made. Wait a minute, then remove the rule and add it again.
"That label wasn't found in Pipedrive. Reload and pick again."
The label was renamed or deleted in Pipedrive after the page loaded.
"There's a rule for that already; remove it first."
Each label (or Any new one) can have one rule for people and one for leads. Remove the old rule to send them to another campaign.
A rule's label shows "a label that's gone" or its campaign "a campaign that's gone"
It was deleted. Remove the rule and add a new one.
A labeled person didn't show up in SolarDialer
The label must be added after the rule (or the person made with it). The person also needs a first name and a valid phone, and their number must not already be a different lead in your SolarDialer account. A person already called through SolarDialer isn't added twice.
People arrive in SolarDialer but aren't called
Check that the campaign is running (press Resume: new campaigns start Paused), that your account is approved and has balance, and that it's within the lead's calling hours.
The SD fields are missing on people
Pipedrive refused to make them, for example at your plan's custom field limit. Calls are still logged without them.
"Last problem sending results: ..." under Your CRM
Pipedrive refused or didn't answer a write. Results wait and are tried again after 1, 5 and 30 minutes, then 2 and 12 hours.
The connection shows Disconnected
SolarDialer was uninstalled in Pipedrive, disconnected here, or Pipedrive refused to renew its access (an access left unused for 60 days ends). Click Connect Pipedrive to connect again; your rules come back with it.
"The Pipedrive app isn't set up on our side yet."
The connection is turned off on SolarDialer's side. Email info@solardialer.net.
FAQ
Are all my Pipedrive people called once I connect?
No. Only people and leads your rules pick, from the moment you add each rule.
Do leads I upload to SolarDialer show in Pipedrive too?
Yes, once they are called: a call that reached someone, an interested lead or a callback finds the person by phone or email, or makes one.
Can a person SolarDialer made be called again by an Any new one rule?
No. A record already linked to a SolarDialer lead is never added again.
Does SolarDialer read Pipedrive's do-not-call or marketing settings?
No. Don't give such people the rule's label, or open the lead in SolarDialer and click Mark do not call. When someone asks the agent not to be called, SD Do Not Call is set on their person.
Can my own automations act on call results?
Yes. Filter and automate on the SD fields, for example every person with SD Interested set to Yes.
What does it cost?
The Pipedrive app is free. Calls are billed by the minute from your SolarDialer balance, with $2 of free calls every month.
Disconnect
On Account → Integrations, click Disconnect Pipedrive under Your CRM and confirm. SolarDialer deletes its webhooks and revokes its access, which uninstalls the app in Pipedrive.
Or uninstall SolarDialer in Pipedrive under Tools and apps → Marketplace apps.
Results stop going to Pipedrive at once. Your leads and calls stay in SolarDialer, and nothing is removed from Pipedrive. To have your SolarDialer data deleted, email info@solardialer.net.
Pay only when we're talking to someone
22¢ a minute while on a call, or 14¢ with your own phone line. Calls nobody answers
are free, and the first $2 of calls every month are on us. The Pipedrive app itself costs nothing.
