Connect your Salesflare team: contacts with a tag you pick are called by SolarDialer's AI agent
within a minute, interested leads are transferred live to your closer, and every call is logged with the
contact, with its summary, transcript and a link to the recording.
You need a SolarDialer account and a Salesflare user who can make API keys; an admin's key lets
SolarDialer add its contact fields.
Call contacts by tag
Choose a tag (or "any new contact") and a campaign: each contact with that tag that is added or changed from
then on joins the campaign within a minute, called on its schedule, always within the lead's legal calling
hours.
Every call with the contact
Each call is logged in Salesflare with the contact (its time and length), with the AI summary, answers,
transcript and a link to the recording as its notes.
Opportunities for interested leads
Pick a pipeline stage and each interested lead gets an opportunity there (moved to your transfer stage
when they are put through to your closer). Callbacks become tasks, due when the lead asked.
Fields for your filters
SD Outcome, SD Last Call, SD Recording, SD Interested, SD Callback and
SD Do Not Call are set on the contact.
Set up in 3 steps
Make an API keyIn Salesflare, open Settings → API keys, press the orange + button, name the
key (say, SolarDialer) and copy it.
ConnectSign in to SolarDialer, open Account → Integrations, paste the key under Salesflare
and click Connect Salesflare.
Choose who is calledOn the same page, add a rule: a tag (or any new contact) and the campaign
those contacts join. Optionally pick the stage interested leads' opportunities go to.
Salesflare keeps opportunities on accounts. A contact usually has none, so SolarDialer
makes one named after them ("Dana Reyes (homeowner)") the first time it adds an opportunity.
What SolarDialer reads and writes in Salesflare
Salesflare data
What SolarDialer does with it
Contacts
Reads the contacts changed since its last look (every minute), and the name, phones,
email and address of those a rule picks, to call them. Finds (by phone or email) or creates the contact for a
lead whose call reached someone, and sets the SolarDialer fields on it.
Settings
Reads your tags and pipelines for the pickers; creates the six SolarDialer contact
fields once.
Calls, tasks, accounts and opportunities
Logs each call with the contact, adds a task for each
callback booked, and for interested leads (when you pick a stage) an opportunity, on the contact's
account or one made for them.
People are called only within each state's calling hours, never when they are on your
do-not-call list or asked not to be called, and at most the attempts your campaign allows. Your Salesflare data
is used only to place and report your calls; see our privacy policy and
terms.
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect Salesflare on Account → Integrations. The key is forgotten at once;
to be sure it can't be used again, delete it in Salesflare (Settings → API keys). Results stop going to
Salesflare; the leads and calls already in SolarDialer stay in your account until you delete them, and nothing is
removed from Salesflare. To have your SolarDialer data deleted, email
info@solardialer.net.

Everything you need to set it up and keep it running. Stuck? Email info@solardialer.net.
A Salesflare team, and a Salesflare user who can make API keys. An admin's key is best: SolarDialer adds six contact fields the first time it sends a result, and a user who may not make fields can't add them.
Tags on the contacts you want called, or a plan to call every new contact.
A SolarDialer account with at least one campaign that isn't finished. Leads are called once your account is approved and the campaign is running.
Step by step
Make an API keyIn Salesflare, open Settings, then API keys, press the orange + button, name the key (say, SolarDialer) and copy it.
Open Integrations in SolarDialerSign in on solardialer.net and open Account, then Integrations. Under Connect, find the Salesflare card and click Connect Salesflare.
ConnectPaste the key under API key and click Connect. The page says "Salesflare connected" with your team's name, and the team appears under Your CRM with a Connected badge.
Add a rule: who is calledUnder Your CRM, in Contacts to call, pick a tag in Contacts tagged, or Any new contact, pick the Campaign and click Add rule. From then on, matching contacts join that campaign within about a minute.
Choose where interested leads go (optional)In Interested leads go to (an opportunity at this stage), pick a pipeline stage. Optionally pick another stage of the same pipeline in Transferred leads go to, for leads put through to your closer. Click Save.
Test itTag a test contact in Salesflare that has your own phone number. Within a minute or two it is a lead in your campaign in SolarDialer. After the call, Salesflare shows the call with the contact and the SD fields are set.
Settings, explained
Contacts tagged
A rule picks contacts with the tag that are made, or changed, after the rule was added. Adding a tag changes the contact, so tagging an existing contact picks it up. A contact that already had the tag is picked only when it is next changed.
Any new contact
Every contact made in Salesflare after the rule was added joins the campaign.
Campaign
The SolarDialer campaign the rule's contacts join. Only campaigns that aren't finished are listed. They are called on the campaign's schedule, within each lead's legal calling hours.
Rules
Up to 20, one per tag. Each contact joins a campaign once: one already called through SolarDialer, or made by SolarDialer, is never added again. Remove a rule with its Remove button.
Interested leads go to (an opportunity at this stage)
An interested lead (one who said yes to your closer, whether or not the transfer connected, or who booked a callback with the closer instead) gets an opportunity at this stage. Only open stages are listed; Won and Lost aren't. No pipeline means no opportunity.
Transferred leads go to (optional, same pipeline)
When the transfer to your closer connects, the lead's open opportunity in that pipeline moves to this stage, or is made there. The same stage uses the one above.
What it reads and writes
Read: contacts
Every minute, the contacts changed since the last look. For a contact a rule picks: first and last name, phone (mobile, then work, then home, then any other), email, and the first address (street, city, state or region, ZIP and country).
Read: settings
Your tags and pipelines for the pickers, and your contact fields.
Written: the call
Each call is logged with the contact as its participant, with its start and end time, the subject "SolarDialer call: <outcome>", and as its notes the summary, answers, transcript, a link to the recording and a link to the call in SolarDialer.
Written: six contact fields
SD Outcome, SD Last Call (date and time in UTC) and SD Recording (a link) on every call; SD Interested (Yes), SD Callback (when) and SD Do Not Call (Yes). They are made as text fields the first time, or reused if fields with those names exist.
Written: accounts and opportunities
Salesflare keeps opportunities on accounts. For an interested lead whose contact has no account, one is made in the lead's name and the contact put in it. The opportunity is named after the lead, with a close date a month out for your closer to change.
Written: tasks
A callback adds a task with a reminder when the lead asked, naming the lead and their number and saying who calls back. It is assigned to the user whose key you connected, on the contact's account when it has one.
Written: contacts
A contact is found by phone, then by email, or made, only for a call that reached someone, an interested lead or a callback. A call nobody answered only updates a contact that already exists.
Troubleshooting
"Salesflare wasn't connected: Salesflare didn't accept that API key."
The key was copied in part or deleted. Make a new one under Settings, API keys, and paste it whole.
"Paste the API key from Salesflare (Settings, API keys)."
The field was empty or held spaces. Paste only the key.
"Salesflare didn't say which team that key is for."
Salesflare's answer named no team. Try again in a minute, or make a new key.
"That Salesflare team is connected to another SolarDialer account."
A team can be linked to one SolarDialer account at a time. Disconnect it there first.
The connection shows Disconnected: "Salesflare refused the API key (deleted there)"
The key was deleted in Salesflare. Make a new one and connect again from the Salesflare card.
A tagged contact wasn't called
Check that it was tagged or changed after the rule was added, that it has a phone number, that it wasn't already called through SolarDialer, and that its phone isn't already a lead in your account (a number belongs to one lead). Then check that the campaign is running.
"Your Salesflare tags couldn't be read just now; reload to add a rule."
Salesflare didn't answer in time. Reload the page.
"That tag wasn't found in Salesflare. Reload and pick again."
The tag was renamed or deleted after the page loaded. Reload and pick again.
"Pick both stages from the same pipeline."
The transferred stage must be in the same pipeline as the interested one.
No opportunity appears for an interested lead
Pick a stage in Interested leads go to and click Save; with No pipeline, none is made. If the page says "Your CRM's pipelines couldn't be read just now", reload it.
The SD fields don't appear on contacts
The fields are made with the first result, and only if the key's user may make fields. Without them, calls, opportunities and tasks still arrive.
"Last problem sending results" with "(trying again shortly)"
Salesflare was busy or didn't answer. SolarDialer waits and tries again, longer each time; nothing is lost.
FAQ
Why an API key and not a sign-in button?
Salesflare offers no sign-in for other apps, so SolarDialer connects with an API key, as Salesflare's own Zapier app does. The key is stored encrypted.
How fast is a newly tagged contact called?
SolarDialer looks at your contacts every minute, and a picked contact joins the campaign straight away. The campaign calls it on its schedule, within the lead's calling hours.
Why did an account appear in Salesflare?
Opportunities belong to accounts in Salesflare. A contact without one gets an account in their name the first time SolarDialer adds an opportunity for them.
Do I get results for calls made before I connected?
No. A new connection gets the results of calls from then on.
Does removing the tag stop calls?
No. A contact that joined a campaign stays a lead there. Removing a rule only stops new contacts joining.
Will people be called outside calling hours or after asking not to be called?
No. People are called only within their state's calling hours, never when they are on your do-not-call list or asked not to be called, and at most the attempts your campaign allows. A do-not-call request sets SD Do Not Call on the contact.
Can I connect two Salesflare teams?
One per SolarDialer account: the Connect form is hidden while one is connected.
What does it cost?
The connection is free. Calls are billed by the minute from your SolarDialer balance, with $2 of free calls every month.
Disconnect
Click Disconnect Salesflare under Your CRM on Account, Integrations. The key is forgotten at once and results stop going to Salesflare.
Delete the key in Salesflare too (Settings, API keys).
Your leads and calls stay in SolarDialer, and nothing is removed from Salesflare. To have your SolarDialer data deleted, email info@solardialer.net.
Pay only when we're talking to someone
22¢ a minute while on a call, or 14¢ with your own phone line. Calls nobody answers
are free, and the first $2 of calls every month are on us. The Salesflare connection itself costs nothing.
